Now we’re into a few lay days in Australia, with the northerly devil winds causing havoc with the conditions at Snapper. Well, not really that much havoc because there isn’t any swell to cause havoc with.

Jordy's next heats were impressive which forced the other competitors to give chace. In the heat previous, Slater had changed equipment, and it was noted that with the swell direction altered, and not washing down the point as in previous days but more into the surfers, different boards were required to compensate for the change. It made no difference, because Jordy was rampant.
