Levi LaVallee blasted into Winter X history as winner of the first-time discipline of Speed & Style, an event that tests riders on both their racing skills and their freestyle abilities. Levi LaVallee proved he has what it takes both as a SnoCross racer and a sled back-flipper as he took the gold. The four man head-to-head final saw three Red Bull athletes competing for the podium. Accomplished SnoCross racer Levi LaVallee, who only began training in Freestyle in October , managed to use his speed to his advantage. Not only did he throw huge backflips and a styley tricks like a look back double can-can, he raced the course, throwing in two extra tricks in the allotted time. This pushed him over the top and into official Freestyle golden boy club. It also put him in another club with Shaun Palmer - the only X Games athletes to win medals in four separate disciplines. Side note: another "Red Buller", Heath Frisby, won Bronze with eight fresh stitches in his chin from earlier in the day!
