Ryan Sandes came 2nd in the 2012 Western States 100miler that was run in the US yesterday in a record breaking time of 15hrs03min56sec.
Timothy Olsen from the USA was first in a time of 14hrs46min44sec.

"We started off in freezing cold conditions and ran in a combination of rain and hail before the temperatures rose into the high 30’s. It was an insane day out and one crazy adventure. I felt really good all day and feel I ran one of my strongest races ever."
