“My cell phone. I use it all the time to chat to friends and girlfriends.”

“Pietersburg (Polokwane) is the fastest track in the country”.

Who has been your role model or inspiration?

“My dad. He got me into karting and he inspires me to do better.”

Biggest ever wipe-out?

“I wiped out on my BMX doing a jump, cut my legs and was badly bruised but luckily this happened in November at end of karting season.”

Any other way you kick-start your endorphins?

“Racing my mum’s pit bike (a 110cc off road bike)”.

Your favourite saying?

“Winning is not everything, it’s the only thing.”

Your signature move or trick?

“You can end up airborne in karting but not intentionally.”

When you’re done with karting, will it be F1?

“Racing Formula 1 is my dream.”

What pumps your adrenalin or really scares you?

“I like going fast, I’m not scared of speed, I love it.”

What’s the fastest speed your kart can really go?

Mini Max (2 stroke engine) at 110 km/h and Junior Max (a 125 cc 2 stroke) at 130 km/h.

What counts more - passion, fearlessness or experience?

“Passion, you have to have a love of speed.”

Is karting only a sport for boys, or do girls also take part?

“Girls do take part and I was beaten by a girl once, but I beat her the next time.”
