This video is a portrait of township musician, DJ/Producer Mazic Kondile, from Cape Town's informal settlement, Du Noon. Berlin videographer, Christian McCallum , originally from Cape Town, met Mazic over a year ago and made a video for his track 'Visions of 2'. A year later the two linked up with the Red Bull Studio Cape Town team to help Mazic complete the jiving, Mzansi House banger, 'Loh'.
The video details the three days it took to take the music out of Mazic's township bedroom studio into the Red Bull Studio where it was mixed down and mastered to be on par with other proffesional SA House tracks. Take a look at the video and once you're done take a listen to the final track (and download if you like) to see and hear why Mazic is an example of the kind of musical talent hidden in and across South Africa's landscape.
