15:00 The Electronic Music Industry 2012

An overview of the nuts and bolts of the music industry with a focus on Electronic music, taking a look at issues such as publishing, needletime, music copyright, revenue streams and an overview of the different business opportunities with the Electronic Music scene today.

Hilton “Roach” Roth - African Dope / Gigham

Serial entrepreneur in the Music and Online Entertainment industries. A pioneer of the CT electronic music scene as co-founder of African Dope and Krushed & Sorted, His new venture, the next level events platform, Gigham, drops in April, watch out for it.

Hagar Graiser – Jump Media / Cape MIC

Through Jump Media: Broker or host for international acts in SA, planning their shows and media as well as managing local acts and sending them abroad through the Jump International circuit.

Through Cape MIC: Helping economically develop the Western Cape music value chain. “(I) Also geek out on Biomatrix Web systems thinking and try apply it to the music business with the hope of creating a better organized and conscious industry. “

18:00 Soulistic Music Info-Session

One of South Africa's most accomplished DJs and artists, and the man behind Soulistic Music, sits down with his manager to talk about the vibrant and meteoric SA House Music scene, it's past, present and future.

Black Coffee

Having attended the Red Bull Music Academy when it was held in Cape Town in 2003, Black Coffee quickly went on to become one of the most successful DJ producers in South Africa riding the ever popular wave of South African house that has captivated listeners for over a decade now.

Amaru Da Costa

The nerve center of everything at Soulistic Music, one of South Africa’s most successful House Music labels. He manages all operations from bookings, schedules, legalities to marketing and most importantly is constantly seeking ways to grow the label.
