Two of South Africa's best bands came together in the Red Bull Studio in Cape Town on 26 - 28 June.
The Dirty Skirts got into the studio with Tumi & the Volume for some band-on-band action.
This was the kick off to the upcoming Red Bull Soundclash competition.
With this being South Africa's first time at hosting Red Bull Soundclash, both bands were super excited to get into the studio for a jam session and work on some of the songs they have lined up for the competition.
With plenty of laughs (and the occasional Jeigermeister) the two bands managed to record a track or two and basically prepare for the upcoming clash on 22 August.

The friendly rivalry between the two bands makes for a great start and it seems as though these guys are going to bring it to the stage on "fight night"!
Look out for their "take down" videos - each band gets a chance to diss the other in a series of band-bashing videos that can also be seen on MTV Base - the DSTV channel is the official media partner for this event.
